Yesterday was our home inspection. Being that we are buying a short sale house we didn't have to have a home inspection, however we wanted the piece of mind that the house we are buying isn't going to fall apart the second we moved in. I'm happy to say- there is many little things wrong but nothing too major.
For example- the gutter drains are too close to the house. We just need to add an extension piece to the end of it so the water drains away from the foundation.
Or another problem the inspector pointed out- the garage and the driveway aren't even. My solution- pick up your feet and you'll be fine. (Now that I wrote this, I'll be the first person to trip over it).
If you ever have gotten a home inspection you know that they point out the smallest little things wrong with the house. Now this list of things wrong will be turned into a very long "to do list" for when we finally move into the house.
As long as everything goes through (our loan paperwork needs to be approved) we will have the keys to our new house at the end of the month! I'm getting excited but until the keys are in my hands it won't feel real. Wish us luck!
